Quickstart
You need an account and an API key. Then connect your agent over MCP, or call the REST API from code.
1. Create an account
Sign up. Every workspace gets 1,000 free credits a month. Residential proxies and advanced unblocking need a paid plan or a top-up: see Pricing.
2. Make an API key
In the dashboard, open Connections and create a key. It is shown once; Skryp stores only a fingerprint. Make one key per agent or machine so you can revoke one without breaking the others.
3. Connect your agent
Claude Code:
claude mcp add --transport http skryp https://api.skryp.dev/mcp \
--header "Authorization: Bearer $SKRYP_API_KEY"Cursor, Claude Desktop, VS Code and other MCP clients take a JSON entry:
{
"mcpServers": {
"skryp": {
"type": "http",
"url": "https://api.skryp.dev/mcp",
"headers": { "Authorization": "Bearer YOUR_SKRYP_API_KEY" }
}
}
}Codex (~/.codex/config.toml):
[mcp_servers.skryp]
url = "https://api.skryp.dev/mcp"
bearer_token_env_var = "SKRYP_API_KEY"A connection counts as verified after your agent's first successful call; the Connections page shows when each key was last used.
4. Run a first request
curl -X POST https://api.skryp.dev/v1/scrape \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $SKRYP_API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: application/json" \
-d '{"url": "https://example.com", "formats": ["markdown"]}'The answer includes the page as Markdown and a receipt. The request also appears in Activity in the dashboard, with the same receipt.
